遅くなりましたが昨日の秋葉原風景です。いつもより落ち着いた雰囲気を感じましたが、気のせいかな。秋葉原は人類の未来を具現化した街だと思ってますが、もしかしたらレベルが1つ上がったのかもしれません。秋葉原は今日も成長しています。
Apologies for the delay, but here are some photos of Akihabara from yesterday. It felt calmer than usual, but maybe I’m imagining things. I’ve always thought of Akihabara as a city that embodies the future of humanity, but perhaps it’s leveled up again. Akihabara continues to grow today.

秋葉原に移り住んでから20年ほどになる。北海道に住んでいた少年期から電気街としての秋葉原に物凄く興味があった。社会人となって東京に移住した時、秋葉原は変貌していた。ゲーム小僧が読み漁るパソコン雑誌に出ていた姿ではない新しい文化が既に根付いていた。素晴らしい未来都市だと思った。秋葉原に興味が無い人にとって馬鹿々々しい話だろうが、これは真実なのである。
It’s been about twenty years since I moved to Akihabara. Ever since my boyhood in Hokkaido I’d been fascinated by Akihabara as an electronics district, but by the time I became a working adult and moved to Tokyo, the place had transformed. A new culture had already taken root—something far beyond what I used to see in PC magazines. I thought it was a wonderful city of the future. To people who aren’t interested in Akihabara it might sound ridiculous, but it’s the truth.
